East of the capital Fortaleza, are stunning beaches, coconut trees, colored sand cliffs, mangroves, the mouth of the Rio Jaguaribe, the largest in the state, cities of historical interest, the rich and varied crafts are some attractions that await visitors to the Costa del Sol East.
At the beginning of the adventure, we passed the beach of Porto das Dunas, where is located the internationally Beach Park. Soon after, are the beautiful beaches of Iguape and Prainha, where you meet the famous artezãs women making hand woven called "renda".(see in the picture above)
INTINERARY (2 to 4 days)
DAY 1: From Fortaleza to Canoa Quebrada: off-road along the beaches. To better enjoy the day, we left early for the Porto das Dunas Beach. Followed by Prainha, Presidio Beach. Shortly after we reach the fishing village of Iguape, Barro Preto, Bung, Balbino and Caponga. In Águas Belas we are faced with two crossings in handmade rafts at Malcozinhado Rio and another in New bar to get to the famous beach of Morro Branco, where the greatest charms of this Ceará coast appear, the multicolored cliffs. We stopped for a guided tour by native through the maze of cliffs. The journey continues for another spectacular beach, Praia das Fontes, with its cliffs and freshwater sources on the beach. We stopped for a refreshing shower and follow the beaches of Diogo, Uruaú and Sucatinga.
We come to the villages of Piquiri, Aryans and the fishing village of Prainha do Canto Verde. We follow the beach of Paradise and, already in Parajuru we took the asphalt road to cross the Rio Jaguaribe, across the bridge that leads to the city of Aracati, municipality headquarters of Canoa Quebrada.
With the arrival in Canoa Quebrada, we will visit the beach and enjoy this once the paradise of hippies and backpackers in the 70s.
In the late afternoon, we will ride through the dunes with the right ski-ass, sandboarding and a sunset seen from a beautiful gazebo. Already in the evening, we recommend a walk around the Dragão do Mar street or "Broadway", as the locals prefer to enjoy the local cuisine and nightly entertainment.
DAY 2: Ponta Grossa, the hidden treasure of Ceará.
According to the tide, we left Canoa eastward to know one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline. Cliffs of all shapes and colors, colored stones, tiny villages of traditional fishermen of lobsters and places still untouched.
Just off we find Majorlândia, with its cliffs carved by a craftsman with many different shapes and figures. Followed by Quixaba, Lagoa do Mato, Fontainha, the beautiful Retirinho, Retiro Grande and finally .... Ponta Grossa, where legend has it that the Spanish navigator Vicente Pinzón landed even before Cabral on Brazilian soil, but can not disclose its done because the Treaty of Tordesillas between Spain and Portugal.
In Ponta Grossa we visited the colorful stones of various shapes and sizes and we will then enjoy the hospitality of the local people, which has many descendants of Dutch, native blond with blue eyes, in contrast to the traditional dark Northeast. For lunch, fresquíssimas lobsters or sea bass fillet extra special.
After, we will walk by the colorful stones and climb to a lookout point in the dunes (depending on the tide) to appreciate the sunset.

DAY 3: Ponta Grossa - Fortaleza.
We returned to Canoa Quebrada by the beach and from there to Fortaleza
PORTO DAS DUNAS
It is just 31 km from the bustling Fortaleza to the calm of Porto das Dunas. The main beach characteristics are excellent hotels and beautiful natural scenery. The combination of these two factors provides a pleasant and peaceful place to visit. Visitors can stay in resorts or vacation homes available for rent. The resort's Beach Park is part of the Porto das Dunas landscape, with several gastronomic and entertainment services.
The structure includes the largest water park in Latin America, which is the sea. Large water slides, artificial waterfalls and restaurants offering regional, national and international cuisine, as well as ultra-light and helicopter rides are service options offered by the complex.
MORRO BRANCO
Morro Branco is in the municipality of Beberibe, approximately 80 km from Fortaleza, and you can reach both the BR-116 and CE-040. Only Beberibe 5km. The Morro Branco Beach is internationally known for its lush maze of cliffs that are across the sea, which are subject to wind erosion and water.

PRAIA DAS FONTES
Nearby to Morro Branco (12 km away), the sources of beach stands out for its calm and hotel complexes with high standard services.
In the municipality of Beberibe in the Praia das Fontes visitors revel in the presence of colored dunes and cliffs, from which gush fresh water sources and in the middle of the dunes are faced with the Uberaba Lagoon, whose waters supply the county seat .
The drive from the Praia das Fontes and Uruaú Lagoa, there are some high and steep dunes where you can try the practice of ski-ass, sliding from behind the dunes in a wooden plank (which some boys of rent area for a few dollars to descent).

FORTIM

It turned into a tourist spot in the mid-70s by a group of hippies who fell in love with beauty paradise and the hospitality of the natives who inhabited the village. This film scene is only 175 km east of Fortaleza, Ceara state capital.
MAJORLÂNDIA
Majorlândia is a fishing village located 12 km from the county seat of Aracati.Ela was founded in 1937 by Major Bruno da Silva Figueiredo (Majorlândia = 'Land of the Major'). Dense coconut trees and still white and red cliffs dominate the beach Majorlândia.
